Terms of Service: how you may use AbokiCalculator

1. Agreeing to These Terms

By using AbokiCalculator (abokicalculator.com), you agree to these terms, together with our disclaimer, privacy policy and cookie policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and a change applies from the day it is posted. If a change affects your rights in a way that matters, we will say so on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

2. What the Site Provides

AbokiCalculator provides free access to:

• naira exchange rates: indicative parallel market figures and official reference figures, with a converter and history;
• calculators that estimate what money is worth, what a transfer costs and what a rate change did;
• bank code and account number checkers for many countries; and
• guides about international payments.

Everything is provided "as is", for information only. How the rates and tools work is explained on the methodology page, and their limits are set out in the disclaimer.

3. Your Use of the Site

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial reference. In particular you may:

• look up exchange rates for your own information;
• use the converter and calculators to estimate an amount;
• use the checkers to test the format of a code or account number before you send money;
• share and link to individual pages; and
• quote short extracts with credit and a link to the page they came from.

You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including foreign exchange rules, and the rules of your bank or provider. Using a rate or a result from this site does not make a transaction lawful or permitted.

4. Rules of Use

You may not:

• scrape, crawl or systematically extract our content or data, whether by automated means or by hand, or use our data feeds outside the site, without our written permission. Ordinary use of a web browser is fine;
• republish, reproduce or redistribute our pages, rates or tool results on another website, app or product without our written permission;
• overload, attack, probe or interfere with the site or its servers, or try to reach parts of it that are not public;
• use the site to help commit fraud, launder money, avoid sanctions or break any law;
• present our figures as official Central Bank of Nigeria rates, as guarantees that an account exists or that a payment will succeed, or as endorsed by us or by any bank; or
• use our name or logo in a way that suggests we are connected to you or that we endorse you.

5. Our Content and Other People's

The text, design, code, tool logic and layout of this site, and our compilation of rates and history, belong to AbokiCalculator and are protected by copyright and similar rights. To use more than a short quotation, ask us first.

Data that comes from others stays theirs and is used under their terms. For example, World Bank data is used under its CC BY 4.0 licence, exchange rates come from Open Exchange Rates, and directories come from the official bodies named on each tool page. Bank and product names belong to their owners, and using them does not mean we are connected to them.

6. Messages You Send Us

If you write to us, for example to report an error, suggest a tool or ask a question, we may use what you tell us to fix and improve the site, and we may keep a record of an error report and its correction. Please do not send passwords, PINs, card numbers or other people's personal details. How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.

7. Advertising and Affiliate Links

The site may show advertisements served by Google and may contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and sign up with a service, we may be paid a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say in any rate, result, ranking or correction. Ads are not endorsements. See the editorial policy.

8. Other Services and Websites

The site uses or links to services run by others, including Google (analytics, advertising and fonts), Microsoft Clarity, GLEIF and Razorpay for two lookup tools, Open Exchange Rates for reference rates, and affiliate partners and official websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

9. No Warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided without any warranty, express or implied. We do not promise that a rate is accurate at the moment you read it, that a check reflects the current status of a bank's systems, that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that it is free of harmful components.

10. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AbokiCalculator and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage, including financial loss, arising from your use of or reliance on the site. That includes acting on a rate or a calculator result, a payment that fails or is misdirected after you used one of our tools, downtime, and errors in content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer where you live.

11. Changes, Suspension and Ending Access

We may change, suspend or withdraw any page, tool or data at any time, for example when a reference changes or when we cannot show a figure correctly. We do not promise that the site will always be available. We may block access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the site.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes about them or about your use of the site are subject to the courts of Nigeria, except where the mandatory consumer protection law of your country gives you the right to use its courts. If you have a concern, please write to us first so that we can try to put it right.

13. General

These terms, with the disclaimer, privacy policy and cookie policy, are the whole agreement between you and AbokiCalculator about the site. If a part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
